| Why didn't Angie/Keesha/Dan/Steven make one of those pre-game alliances?! Team Sock Puppet all the way. |
I think they would, if one of them could manage to win HoH. Because none of them have had a chance to be in power, they're reduced to having to grovel to pieces of shit like Jessie. I'm hoping Renny gets HoH this week, just because I think she'd throw him up on the block in a heartbeat.
Jessie lecturing Angie was nauseating. I don't know how she refrained from smacking him. Especially because I guess it actually went on for over an hour.

If I've learned one thing in my life, it's that people who have to go around telling everyone how smart they generally fall on the side of dumb. Jessie = proof positive.
At this point I'm rooting for the Angie/Dan/Stephen cabal and I also like Keesha. Renny is so annoying as is April. And the challenge was awesome.
I'm kind of sad for me that I got sucked into this show (thanks to swsa and spooloflies), but it's looking to be an interesting summer because of it. The only thing I really hate is 3 episodes a week. Really? 3 episodes? That's way too much of a commitment for me.
Jessica- 07-21-2008
That's where the TiVo comes in. I rarely watch a food competition in real time.
JESSIE. Wow, you are annoying.
I have to say, I'm all for the Steven/Angie/Dan/Keesha(?) group -- they need to fall in line with Big Brother history and get a dumb name -- but they ought to lure Renny in for now because they need the numbers. Although she is ALSO way annoying. I do enjoy that she tends to dress like a fortune teller, though.

But that's the brilliance of Big Brother 24-7, between the episodes, the live feeds, the live feed recappers, and youtube highlight reels, you only have to commit as much as you want, and you get a way better "show" than anything the CBS editors could patch together for you. I usually only plan to watch if I know something dramarific went down on the feeds, or if I've fallen behind on my feed watching.
I actually enjoy Renny, she's this season's Moronica, she talks alot and never makes sense, and she hates Jessie, and called out Jerry, so all good in my book, hopefully Team Sock Puppet throws the next HoH to her so she can boot Jessie.
Jasmine- 07-21-2008
Yeah, that's the nice thing about 3 episodes a week -- if you miss one, no big deal, there's another one coming soon! But yeah, this show would be brutal without TiVo -- the interviews with the families are invariably boring, and those I just fast forward right through.
dionneshea- 07-21-2008
I have neither TiVo nor internet at home right now. And I draw the line at watching Big Brother at work. So, the three episodes are pretty much my only choice.

And about a third of that new episode will be the Blue Flashback of Where it All Went Wrong, so it's hard to miss anything.
I'm also down for an Angie/Dan/Steven/Keesha alliance, though I might substitute Renny for Keesha >>or Steven, since he's pretty much done. *sniff*<<

Renny cracks me up now. That time she was fighting with Libra, it was like the two of them were each having a totally different conversation than the other. I find her wacky outfits and strange personally really amusing. I like her better than Jerry, at this point, whose weirdly aggressive outbursts and pottymouth seem a bit over the top.
Newt- 07-23-2008
I don't have any strong feelings about anyone yet, really. I thought I was going to hate Keesha, but I kind of like her now.
I think Big Brother is an interesting show because you get a completely different picture of everyone based on if you follow the feeds or just watch the show. Like last year, Evel Dick was edited pretty well on CBS but everyone who watched the feeds hated him.
Jasmine- 07-24-2008
My only strong feeling is that I can't stand Jessie. For all the rest, I don't particularly like or dislike them.
Heather- 07-24-2008
I am not a huge fan of Jessie -- he's so PETTY; I mean, "You didn't come up to my room for 24 hours"/"You didn't apologize for a day and a half" are so juvenile -- but his message to Stephen CRACKED ME UP. Unintentionally. I mean... making it about him, and his body, and how his body is aspirational, and he thinks he can lead Steven to fitness by his example... Part of me thinks Steven was only ever talking to him about bodybuilding because Jessie was HoH and Steven wanted him to think they had something in common. Man, that was THE most egotistical and hilarious goodbye message ever. Sigh. I'm laughing just thinking about it. I might even love Jessie now, in a love-to-hate kind of way.
Does anyone who watches the live feeds know what was up with Steven's speech before the live vote? Was that all random inside jokes, was he dared to say total gibberish, or what?
Newt- 07-24-2008
Jessie's good-bye message was the best Big Brother moment ever. We'd already created a drinking game revolved around his self-love, but that, well, it'll never top that.
blixie- 08-01-2008
Shit, I think I might have to officially give up on this season Every HOH winner is worse than the one before, and gets out exactly the person I don't want Brian, Stephen, Angie, and now I was looking so forward to April and Libra going up and April won HoH. Next Libra will POV, and every vote will go off exactly as they plan. Boring.
Though I kind of love that Dan said yes to America's Player, because really only someone who has no idea what to do strategy wise would take that offer up, after seeing the way it screwed with Eric's game, and Eric did it because he didn't really have a choice. My only hope for entertainment lies in his hapless hands oh and Renny, they can be like Team Rainman.
Jasmine- 08-01-2008
I'm really hoping that Dan and Renny stick around for a while.

Actually, I think Dan is playing a pretty good game. The guy was supposed to be booted right after Brian, and not only has he dodged for two weeks straight, I don't think anyone's even thinking of putting him up right now. So we'll see if AP screws it up for him. Of course, I actually think AP helped Eric's game as I think he was getting a ton of info and help and coersion from the producers because they didn't want to lose their twist.
I liked Angie, but she was awfully boring and I think truly one of the worst players ever, so I can't really say I'm sorry to see her go. Much as I can't stand Jessie, the guy is comedy gold and the editors clearly hate him, so I'm looking forward to what happens from this point on.
