| They also hoot and holler like that whenever a con-*test*-('")ant holds a note. "Woo! A note!" |
Even if it's a bad one.

| Finally, I think the producers are trying to manipulate the audience into liking Jordin. |
I think they're desperate to have someone emerge to challenge Melinda.
spidey_88- 03-28-2007
I just hope that Melinda doesn't get Tamayra'd.

Wow, Sajaya wasn't even in the bottom three this week. I guess I'm going to have to be embarrassed for him for a while longer.
I was surprised Chris S. is out. I haven't liked him since his audition, but I thought he had his share of fans. I thought for sure Haley was going tonight, but I think she may be next.
callie- 03-28-2007
I'm surprised too. Chris was nasally and even tonight, still off tempo but it felt early. And apparently America loves a ponyhawk.
Loved Gwen's expression after Ryan told her they would announce the results of the vote. All "wtf ever, I don't even care."

Haha, yes.
I was surprisingly ok with Chris S leaving. I loved him initially, but he's been bugging me lately. Maybe because it seems like he's been getty cocky, and it's not like he has the pipes to back that up.
I've resigned myself to the fact that Sanjaya will make the top 6. I joked about it with a friend when the top 12 were announced, but now it seems like a given.

I am happysad to see Chris go like it was said here I loved him in the auditions but he went down after that...
The comments here are hilarious

Gina really impressed me last night. She's gotten much better at picking songs that she can do.
Phil scared the crap out of me. It was all dark and scary. I think that's why I had a nightmare about someone sneaking in through my window.
callie- 04-04-2007
Up until two weeks ago, I had no idea Gina could sing. Now I'm pleasently surprised.
Phil looks like something left too long in the dark. He reminds me of Gollum, only human and on reality talent competition.
I call Phil or Haley for the axe this week. Since America refuses to get rid of Sanjaya.
whatthedeuce- 04-04-2007
Phil is the only guy I actually like on the show, which means he'll be out soon enough. I missed his performance last night, but when they did the recap thing at the end, I noticed he did look super creepy and quite Gollum-like. Still, he's the only guy I feel can actually carry a note strongly so I hope Haley gets the boot. Just about everyone performed much better than usual though, IMO, Haley included. She actually seemed kinda fun for once. And Melinda was kicking ass and taking names as usual. Go big, Melinda Doonothinlittle!

I just feel sorry for Sanjaya now that the judges have decided not to even pay attention to his singing anymore. He's not very good but I imagine he must be feeling quite uncomfortable knowing that they don't want him there. He could, of course, just voluntarily quit or I could just stop discussing Sanjaya. (wtf is wrong with me?)
whatthedeuce- 04-04-2007
It would be pretty hard to just quit so he knows he'll just have to keep taking the potshots and ridicule at his expense. Besides, I think he probably does enjoy all the attention he's getting from the media. He's now the most talked about competitor even though he obviously isn't the most talented. He's probably just enjoying things as they come along, which I think is good for him. It's only gonna happen once (god willing) so he may as well have fun with it while he can. However, he's also a young kid, which is why I feel bad when I hear him getting trashed on the radio and TV every Wednesday after his la-*test*-('") performance.

I keep wanting the judges to call them out on ignoring the guest person's advice. LaKisha ignores it routinely and I think Tony Bennett was totally right about her just going for that last note and holding the hell out of it, rather than the stupid "Ain't no sunshine when he's gone" improv. And Haley totally missed the point of what he was telling her, too, singing the whole song as a really flirty thing rather than getting the point of the story.
whatthedeuce- 04-04-2007
I'd love that if only because I like to see the con-*test*-('")ants get chastised. Please, let it be Haley that gets sent home this week! I know it won't be Sanjaya, and I don't want Phil to get booted yet!
NovemberRain- 04-04-2007
Since it looks like Sanjaya won't be sent home anytime soon, I really hope Haley gets the boot. I get this bitchy vibe from her and I feel like she doesn't really want to be the AI champ, she just wants some attention.
