Scarlettfish- 10-11-2007
I can only see counter-clockwise.

Lily Rose- 10-11-2007
I have been looking at this thing for two days (...not constantly. Off and on. I'm not weird, I swear.) and all I have ever seen is clockwise. Clockwise! I'm convinced people are making up the counter-clockwise thing to mess with me. (...maybe a little weird.)

bookworm- 10-11-2007
If you focus on the leg that isn't swinging, it will change for you.

Lily Rose- 10-11-2007
It won't! I tried it, for a long time. It doesn't change for me.

MidgeWood- 10-11-2007
It only started switching for me when I looked just at the shadow under her foot.

Xmas- 10-11-2007
weird..she keeps changing!

every one is getting this link....

My boyfriend is hardcore left-brained and thinks I'm lying that it's even possible for her to turn clockwise.

He was getting pissed at me because I said she could go the counter. He's completely convinced that it's impossible.

Now I'm having a vision migrane and she's mostly going counter. I could only make her go clockwise twice.

I FINALLY got it to go the other way. I had to cover the top of her body with my hand. But my brain REALLY doesn't want to do it, I can't get it to switch back easily.

Scarlettfish- 10-11-2007
I'm looking at it again now and it keeps changing, whereas before I could only see counter-clockwise and could swear that it was impossible for it to go any other way. Weirdness.

How many families will Spinning Girl destroy????

I have no control over the thing. She just does what she wants. My spirit is broken.

PrincessCleo- 10-12-2007
Hee!

Apparently I'm right-brained like whoa, and I can tell that just from reading the list of traits, if only because I'm a huuuuuuge "big picture" person, I can't do math and science at all, and I love spatial-relations games where you have to move tiles and things.

Please. If living in a religiously divided household hasn't destroyed us, I seriously doubt the dancing girl will.

And by religiously divided it means he's a baseball fan and I'm a football fan.

Trust me on this one, it would be easier if it was a pick of one Christian/Jew/Muslim/Buddhist/Athiest/Satanist versus another.

phoebesmum- 10-12-2007
It took forever for me to make her go anti-clockwise, and when I finally did I started to feel sick.

My smart friend informs me that 'It is an optical illusion thing (something about the way that the eye and brain processes moving images by picking out the bits that have changed) as the picture is a 2D image, not a 3D one, so – strictly speaking – isn’t actually rotating at all …' To which I, intelligently, said, 'Wot?'

Isn't that whole left brain/right brain theory officially bollocks, though, anyway?

Esseilte- 10-12-2007
Gah, that's weird. First she spun resolutely clockwise. Then she started to change direction whenever I blinked. Now she changes direction mid-spin. I can get her to do it if I try, but it's weird.

I don't know. Try being a Steelers fan and dating a Browns fan.

On topic: Spinning girl only spins counter-clockwise for me. I focused on feet and it didn't change anything.
