The Tommy Westphall project

For those who don't know/remember: at the end of the last episode of St. Elsewhere, we discover that the whole thing was in Tommy's mind. (Tommy was an autistic child.)

Well, because of various crossovers, Tommy Westphall universe includes something over 200 shows. Take a look.

Anyone see the totally fucked-up and disturbing movie Hard Candy? The one where the 14-year-old >>tortures an older man who is probably a pedophile by drugging him, pretending to castrate him, tasering him and then forcing him to hang himself?<< Apparently the message of that movie was about internet safety, and we're all supposed to Surf Safe, Wear Red, just like Hayley. Uh...WTF? I'm all for internet safety, but I'm not really sure she's a "protagonist" we should be emulating...seriously.

There is an end!

Does anyone remember a commercial that aired a few years ago for something, I don't remember, but there was a guy surfing the Net who clicks on a link and reaches a page kind of like that, saying, "Congratulations, you've reached the end of the Internet"?

Back when commercials took up just a single thread on TWOP, someone brought up this ad and pointed out the sheer number of porn sites that guy had to visit to reach the end. Makes you think.

Oh man, I've seen that site before! Truly odd, though I suppose internet safety is a good thing.

The first time I saw a link to it, the link just said "Surf Safe- Wear Red" with no context, and I assumed it was about telling surfers to wear red or similar bright colors so that they could be easily spotted in the water by rescuers if there were an emergency.

Yeti Sports. Yetis! And penguins! The games are so addicting. I've not played the Jungle Swing one before, and it's hard. Flamingo Drive is my favourite.

No way is that kid 120 pounds. There's no way the mother could hold him like that if he weighed that much!
