So terribly mature.

So they did it for the LULZ? Seriously? I never heard of Trainwrecks before this, so I have no idea what the site was like but it was anything like that rant, I don't think I missed much.

I rediscovered an old favorite today, and now I'm crying real tears due to laughing so hard.

Threadbared, for all your mocking of vintage sewing and crochet patterns needs.

My only experience with Trainwrecks was on the Lush forum - they get very wanky over there, and as a result of both the shenanigans causing the wankiness and their exposure due to the wankiness, they made the interesting parts of the forum log-in only. Trainwrecks created a fake account and posted the username and password so people could log on and read. I thought that was kind of sucky.

It caused more wank when somone from Lush saw it and posted the info.

Heee, that "Threadbared" site is awesome.

Yikes! The sweater isn't bad, but the model! Now I know who posed for the original blow-up doll.

All you bloggers out there, we don't care about your meandering, blatantly uninteresting online diaries, your stupid popular expression of the month, your pseudo-individualism in your mass conformist world.

... which they say... on a blog.

(Also, given that "uninteresting online diaries" are extremely avoidable in the scheme of daily life--just don't read them--I have conclude that they must be pissed that meandering, blatantly uninteresting pseudo-individualists are getting the attention they so richly deserve for themselves. Yes, I just invoked the Jus' Jellus Clause.)

Taunt your enemies the Shakespearean way? Thou burly-boned whoreson bugbear!

killershrew- 01-17-2007
Getting back to the Threadbared site, I just about wet my pants laughing at the Barbie and Ken outfits, because my grandmother crocheted dozens of Barbie and Ken outfits for me when I was a kid. I love you, Grandma!

dinahmoe- 01-17-2007
Oh mine too! My Ken had a handmade Irish fisherman's sweater. My grammie didn't mess around.

Hey, what was that site we were all freaking out about at old SF? Quizzle or something? Is that still up and around? I never beat it and for some reason I have the urge to play.

dinahmoe- 01-19-2007
Qwyzzle. I think you click on the hat to start.

dinahmoe- 01-19-2007
Burp. Apparently I liked the quiz thing so much I had to post it twice.

sneezydove- 01-20-2007
Thanks!!

Help, please. When Fametracker melted down, the diaspora went several places, most to TWoP, of course.

Some went here, and the Bitter but Brilliant boards, TVGasm or wherever.

But there was another site, one where you could lurk forever but if you wanted to post you had to join, at a financial cost. Perhaps because of that cost, the site's demographic seemed to skew a little older than the others. I hung out at TWoP Sucks for a little while; I think I found the community mentioned there, but I've lost the link.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Bueller?

Threeway Action? I remember that you had to pay in order to post, but it doesn't seem to be the case now.

EvilBearHunter- 01-20-2007
It's almost definitely 3WA. I never posted there, but a few months ago all their blurbs on DamnHellAssKings.com ended in some variation of "Did you know 3WA is now free to post? It's true!"
