The dinosaur ones are strangely hilarious and hypnotizing. I'm kind of freaked out by some of the space ones, and I can't quite figure out why. Other than you can't hear anything in space, I mean.

This is certainly Absurd, but not at all Humorous -- Westboro Baptist Church (Fred Phelps's) has written a parody of We Are The World called Got Hates The World. They mean it. (Their version of "the world" seems to include mainly gay people.) What's really bizarre is the contrast between the nasty words and all the smiling faces. There is even a small child singing at the end. It isn't funny at all, but yet it's so completely over the top that I laughed anyhow -- in discomfort, I suppose, and in disbelief that anyone who made this was serious. But they are. And smug as Hell, if you'll excuse the simile.

The Daily Coyote, a blog by a woman who took in an orphaned coyote pup and is now raising him for as long as she can. As someone who is raising an orphaned deer mouse I can relate, despite the predator-prey differences. Absolutely gorgeous photos - I especially love the ones of the coyote and the cat together.
